Aloft City Centre Deira officially opens!

Aloft City Centre Deira hotel officially opened its doors to the public on the 1st June 2018. The 304-room hotel is a standout addition to Dubai’s hospitality and leisure sector, as it targets the modern-day Millennial traveller whose demands and requirements from their hotel experience are uniquely different from previous generations. Technological features, contemporary design elements and functional spaces are featured throughout Aloft, all of which contribute to the hotel’s appeal for the new breed of tourist who places value and efficiency above luxury. One of the hotel’s contemporary technological solutions comes in the form of SPG Keyless, which is an industry-first mobile check-in system, allowing guests to use their mobile phones as room keys.Aloft City Centre Deira FacadeBSBG worked as the Design Architect, Client Representative, Construction Supervisor and Contract Administrator for the project, completed for long-term client and valued partner of the group, MAF.

Innovation in Aloft Deira City Centre

For BSBG, Aloft has been a project founded in innovative architectural techniques. A great deal of the exterior components were pre-fabricated offsite, creating huge time savings and adding enhancement from a quality control perspective. As well as the pre-fabricated component, another specific point of interest within the design is the façade, which features aluminium bronze-coloured framing with deep articulation and tempered high-performance glazing to reduce heat and glare from the Sun for hotel guests.

The finished hotel achieves a standout presence as it emanates from the busy Deira City Centre Mall, overlooking Dubai Creek Golf Club, one of Dubai’s top golf courses; and set within arguably the most traditionally vibrant and energetic area in the entire emirate.Aloft City Centre Deira RearHead of Design Armin Buchbinder led the design work carried out by BSBG on Aloft, and he shared his views on the project. “Aloft is a standout example of the BSBG approach to façade design. This approach is a signature aspect of many of the projects we have designed, and has been uniquely cultivated over the course of numerous projects. BLVD Crescent, Jebel Ali Park Hotel and Banyan Tree Residences – Hillside Dubai are all examples of the design language we adopt; it reflects clarity, functionality, modernity and strong identifiable features. We are very pleased to have been involved in the design and delivery of such a unique, contemporary addition to Dubai’s hospitality sector, and are certain the hotel will be highly successful.”

More of Armin’s thoughts and insights on the successful delivery of the project are featured in an interview with The Big 5 Hub. You can read that article by clicking here.
